Ross and I were watching Winning Time on @hbomax last night and when he showed this example, we both looked at each other and just laughed. This is so accurate to owning a startup business. On the outside (or up top) you try to look graceful and calm… Floating along, like you know what you’re doing and pretending like you’ve got your shit figured out. But “behind the scenes” (or underneath) you’re paddling up a f*ckin’ storm, just trying to stay afloat. ⁣⁣⠀

Shoutout to ANYONE who can relate 👏🏼 To everyone out there that feel like you are swimming upstream, taking ALL the risks, wearing all the hats, working 7 days a week, making mistakes, winning & failing, all because of a dream or something you believe in… Just keep paddling. I’ll be honest, the word strong used to intimidate the f*ck outta me. I remember a girlfriend that I hadn’t seen in awhile said to me, “wow girl you look so strong”, and I felt so uncomfortable and had all these negative thoughts associated with strong like… what did she mean? Do I look too muscular? Too bulky? Are my arms too big? Legs too big? I felt like I was spiraling for absolutely no reason and my friend was just giving me a genuine compliment… WTF? In that moment, I couldn’t have been MORE disconnected with what being / looking strong actually meant. ⁣⁣⠀

The beauty of getting older is that you go thru real life experiences that teach you the greater meaning / purpose of things that you “thought you knew”. I have since learned, thanks to some very important people in my life, what it truly means to be strong and trust me when I say, it’s the ultimate compliment. ⁣⁣⠀

Such an energizing day shooting some exciting new content for @sweatden with the boss, @rosspatrick00. We are constantly looking for ways to continue to elevate the Sweat Den experience and I think today, we did just that. Can’t wait to share with you what Ross and I have been up to! ⁣⁣⠀
